40 Years of Impact

Founded in 1987 by Dr. Craig Aronoff at Kennesaw State University, the Family Enterprise Center has a long history of advancing family business education, research, and connection.

Over the decades, leaders including Dr. Joseph Astrachan and Dr. Gaia Marchisio helped shape the Center through pioneering research, educational programs, and opportunities for family business leaders to learn from one another.

Today, under the leadership of Dr. Sara Davis, FEC is building on that foundation with a renewed focus on community and connection. Through peer groups, educational programs, and relationships across the university and family business ecosystem, the Center brings people together to exchange perspectives, navigate challenges, and prepare for the future.

Our history is rooted in helping family businesses learn from one another. That commitment continues to guide where we're going next.
